Custom forms, typed values, and uploads stay on your device. License checks and optional Server AI use the Ranasi API over HTTPS; payment card fields are stripped from Server AI. Form Test does not save filled answers. See Security & data protection and the Privacy Policy.

Does Ranasi include OCR?

Two separate paths. Scan ID (all plans) reads a national ID or passport photo and writes a form on this device — homepage demo at ranasi.com/#scan, or Scan ID in the extension (including login-walled portals). Document scan (Enterprise / Ultimate only) reads any document — invoice, PO, receipt, contract — from a photo or PDF (text or scanned, first 4 pages) via Options → Scan document or Scan doc on the tab. Photos and PDFs are processed once and not stored. Neither path is a general OCR scanner for arbitrary websites. Generate form can still build a schema from an uploaded image on every plan (clipped).
